We are a full service contractor, which means we have working project managers and carpenters qualified in all fields of construction.
Would the owners of LMB be involved in my project?
Yes, LMB is an owner operated firm and owners Marty Lucash and Chris Montgomery are involved in the day to day activities of each of their projects.
How far do you travel for work?
We cover all of central New Jersey, with a high concentration of work in Princeton. Additionally, we have many jobs from Pennsylvania to the Jersey Shore.
How do I get the design work done?
LMB does in-house design and we have longstanding, working relationships with many respected local architects and can recommend architectural firms in the area.
What type of construction do you do?
Both residential and commercial, including custom new homes, whole house renovations, historical restoration, additions, kitchens, and baths.
Will you handle the permitting process for my job?
LMB is a full service contractor that will supervise permits, inspections, filing revisions, and obtaining your final certificate of occupancy.
How long have you been in business?
The owners of LMB have over 60 years of experience in the industry and founded Lucash Montgomery Builders in March 2000.
Do you do historical restoration?
Yes, including the renovation of our office in Pennington and numerous other historical restoration projects.
Are you an EPA certified renovator?
Yes, this is a must especially when working in older structures.
Do you do Landscaping?
In fact, we have a hardscape division specializing in retaining walls, bluestone patios, firepits, planting, and other aspects of outdoor living.
How do I pick a contractor?
First and foremost, you should choose a contractor that you trust and feel comfortable working with. Even the smallest of projects have many complexities.
I want to remodel my house, but I don’t have a design. When should I find a contractor?
Most of the work we do is design build. In this scenario we recommend choosing an architect and a builder at the very beginning of the process. This will save a lot of time and streamline the design process.
Can my project start in the cold winter months?
Yes, our projects continue year-round.
I want to build a smart house, have you done this before?
Yes, many of our new homes and our office renovation have this feature.
